Your life is circuitous, not linear, often out of your control. As life is. Akin to a river that doesn’t always run downstream as it curves, pools, occasionally climbs, and moves however it’s meant to.

The title of this beautiful new release comes from the storytelling way in which our lived experiences ebb and flow with inherent richness and unpredictability.

Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, and drink it in, all in as Hallinan’s soaring vocals and ornate, lyric piano create a brilliant tapestry which carries us to a place of richness and depth.

Storied Songs contains fifteen generous tracks that lead us on a journey through longing, listening, and loosening the threads that bind us all together. The song cycle expertly wends us through Hallinan’s musings, mirroring the universal experiences of living beings: germination, growth, flowering, seed formation, and finally, dispersal.
